Project 12
Chuckanut Drive, WA
The Brief
A self-directed test shoot built around a single question: what would Range Rover campaign imagery look like if it was conceived in the Northwest? The goal was to produce commercial-ready editorial images that could translate across multiple brand touchpoints — digital, print, social.
The Approach
Every decision was made to serve the mood: dark, rich, and classically editorial. Location scouting focused on dense forest roads in the Northwest — environments that frame the vehicle rather than compete with it. Shooting in heavy overcast was intentional; flat Northwest light eliminates harsh shadows and gives the image a cinematic, almost film-like quality that aligns with Range Rover's brand register. Two lenses shaped the visual language — a 50mm for composed, intimate frames and a 10–18mm wide-angle to place the vehicle inside the landscape and emphasize scale.
The Result
The shoot demonstrated that commercial-quality Range Rover imagery could be self-directed and produced independently in the Northwest — without a brand budget or agency brief. The images are available for licensing and campaign use.
